A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2004 Civilian Props

Description: This is far from perfect, but at least it gives this FS2002 aircraft a virtual cockpit and a functioning panel.

This is meant to be a proof of concept for the tutorial by Allen to show that it works as advertised.

Anyone can take the original model by Paul and follow Allen's tutorial to make a better model than this, but this is the best I can do with my limited amount of time and talent.

Features a functioning virtual cockpit panel with gauges (no levers or other controls, though), opening doors (left and right independently), working suspension, castoring tail wheel, and landing light coming off the left wing onto the ground in front.

Textures have specular channel allowing true reflective textures for metal areas.

Allen's tutorial used exclusively in making this model. Again, it's limited only by my talents.

New flight characteristics using default Lockheed Vega air file which can be used independently to update the original, FS2002 model.

Thank Jorge, the original is a beautiful and interesting aircraft. Although Paul's version is definitely at age.

Allen's Tutorial

Can someone please explain what and where is "Allen's Tutorial"?
Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the late reply.

Yes, that's the tutorial I mention. If you follow it you should have no problems converting or adding VC, parts, etc.

This is for FS9, but I'm guessing it should also work for FSX? :icon_question:

UncleTgt;1306865]Allen provided lots of useful tools & tutorials focused on getting stuff to work in CFS2.

His latest model rebuilding guide is also useful for other "older" sims too :monkies:

Many thanks for the info and link - I would have never found it otherwise! :biggrin-new:
