• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Paying the bills

Is PayPal the only way to donate ?
I'm running into the exact same problem as last year. I don't want to create a Paypal account.
Is it possible to make a simple transfer to an IBAN number or anything like that ?

Look at the top of the page -- there are four other cards pictured that can be used.

But I have used PayPal for more than 8 years and I love it. I have yet to have my PayPal account compromised; it has happened twice with other physical cards so far. With merchants who take PayPal, you NEVER have to sign in (well, usually) to create an account and fill out paperwork because PayPal already has all that info; you just pay and go. It's obviously popular. That's why Apple created their own Apple Pay.
 
Unfortunately, if you set the country in PayPal to "France" instead of "United States", the option to pay by credit card without creating an account just dissappears.
I know what PayPal is but I don't want to create an account nevertheless. I especially don't want to be forced to create one, as they do now...
 
I didn't realize the "powers that be" place more frustrating restrictions in your path. Bummer !!!!

Ditto! I would however like to know the percentage of members who contributed!

EDIT: since we will be part-owners of the SOH server, I would love to know the config of the server. Seriously now, I would LOVE to know the machine you're planning to buy, from a professional perspective!
