PayPal vs. Credit Card Payment for P3

I just learned a valuable lesson. When you have an option to pay via PayPal or Credit Card...choose Credit Card. I ordered P3 on Thursday, the 15th in the early a.m. using PayPal, but it wasn't approved for payment until almost two full business days later, on the 16th...as such, my copy of P3 wasn't mailed out until the next business day (post office closed for MLK)...the 20th! That explains why everyone North, South, East and West of me in Pennsylvania had already received their copy of P3. I won't make that mistake in the future again...Credit Card = Faster processing!

All depends on the situation, as a verified member of Paypal it's rather rather easy, and there is an instant listing of the transaction.

While with my MasterCard, I might know it's a done deal, but I can't see it till my statement arrives once a month, and even then, I get it in the mail the 14th, but the written list is only till the 5th. Any purchase made on the 6th, wont be listed till the following 14th

Audio crap on the telephone is even less specific, they normally tell your last 3 transactions, but not until the Robot Lady gets the new list :wavey:

Used paypal was confirmed that night and mailed the next day.

Not trying to be contrary, just reporting my PayPal experience.

I was actually approved same day as ordered through PayPal on the 16th. Also got my notice of P3 shipment on the 16th. Alas, still no delivery (as of yesterday) in Portland OR. Hopefully, it will be there when I get home from work tonight. :applause:

I have experienced a two day delay with paypal... and the transfer of funds into the account in the first place take forever... I always suspected that was one of the ways pay pal made its money, buy holding all that cash in a pile for a day or two too earn interest.

I think it may be as Gimpy suggests. If you're a "Verified" member of Paypal, the transaction is virtually instantaneous. It was in my case. If you haven't gone through the verification process, it can take considerably longer for transactions to get posted.

Is this regular mail...did you get a tracking number, reason is I always like to try an be at home when it arrives my last parcel was in my next door neighbors plant box..visible yes but not where I was expecting it.

I am a verified member.
I remember orering via Paypal a book from England. It was Friday night when I ordered. On Tuesday morning I was reading it.
So I dont think PayPal has anything to do with this.

Yep....good ol' snail-mail. No express post involved here.....no tracking numbers as a result.

Strange...as it seems that I have the tracking number of my package (and Dimus as well).
If you ask them via e-mail they will give it to you.
But I have read that the USPS tracking is system is crappy..

Hmmm......I stand corrected then. Was under the impression delivery was by standard service....not express. USPS tracking is not the greatest. Found that out when I recently had some Sennheiser 350's shipped up here from New Jersey.

Not anything to do with Paypal, more likely it's a botch-job by the boys at the post office :monkies:

It seems that "express" for USPS is by rowing a boat across the Atlantic indeed :faint:

Stupid Question: Do postmen work on Saturdays? :costumes:
