Trying to tone down the PBY-5 for some black cat missions.Issue is it's a speed demon, accelerates so fast and takes off water in no time and outperforms some fighters in reaching 200 knots. I know it's something in .cfg file I need to adjust or is it airfile and cfg? What do I need to adjust. I tried using the ALpha beepee PBY5 cfg but did not work, would not even take off the water with shessi model. Thanks in advance.

Hi D,
That's exactly the problem. It could have had the right flight characteristics, but then didn't want to to from sticky CFS2 water!

The top speed it correct, but if you want to slow acceleration down, and still allow water TO then an option is to increase either or both parasitic and induced drag.

Now here's where you can learn a lot go to the MS flight page..https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc526949.aspx#mozTocId717787...this gives the aircraft.cfg parameters and explains what each section does, go to the [flight tuning] section, where it briefly explains it, and then go and experiment.

Keep a link to this page as it's a good reference.

Cheers
