    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

PC-6 with Win8

I'd like to know if anyone is successfully using Tim Conrad's PC-6 on a Win8 machine. I am trying to help out a friend who installed the PC-6 on his primary FSX Win8 machine and is experiencing an odd problem with the flaps. The flaps do not deploy until he slows way down (well into the white arc on the ASI), and then they suddenly deploy to whatever position he had previously selected at the top of the white arc. If he installs the PC-6 on his "backup" Win7 machine, the flaps work as they should. I also find the flaps work fine on my Win7 machine.

I am wondering if there is a setting somewhere that inhibits flap deployment above a certain speed, and if perhaps that speed is being misread somehow under Win8?

Any thoughts appreciated.
