I saw on the local news today that this was the first year that no survivors had been able to go due to age and illness, so I looked it up and found this AP article which went further to explain:

Soon no Pearl Harbor survivors will be alive.

I'm grateful to have met many WW2 vets growing up, though the only Pearl Harbor survivor I met was a gentleman on a flight I was working who was connecting in Houston for an "Honor Flight" to D.C. I think that was about 2015 or 2016 or so.

The sad truth is that time is the one thing we can't fight in life. All we can do is never forget.

When I put my flag out on the 7th, I can't help thinking of all those young men that still lay in the Arizona hull, They will be 18-19 till the end of time.

How many of you have been there on December 7?

I've gone for over 20 years and it's not just one day.it's several days with events everyday.

All the Veterans of the attack would be over 100 years old and may not be able to travel there. When I first met some of them they were in their 80's.
