Lap 23/60:

Simone De Silvestro = P14
Danica Patrick = P21

Who do you think is getting the camera time between these 2 women :ques:

Both Panther, but Danica receives the bulk. I saw an advert with Simone pushing ethanol.

But it is disturbing that both women get contingency money while being second-rate drivers, while much better drivers get no contingency money. Sexist if you ask me.

Simona definetly is NOT a 2nd rate driver ....She dang near won the Atlantics championship & her performance this year on a severly underfunded team has been nothing but impressive

She didn't fair well today with that shunt in front of Danica. Most of them other than Danica usually wind up in a shunt and she shunts in NASCAR Nationwide.

I am not much on women race drivers Panther, I have only seen two in my lifetime that could race with a man, Janet Guthrie and Michelle Mouton of WRC fame. The rest are just out there for their looks and to attract a female audience. I am one to give applause where applause is due, but I have seen nothing to applaud.

Caz

No she didn't fare well today - but neither did Tony Kanaan (who finished 2nd to last) and Kanaan is also on a much more well funded & developed team...;)

A little Simona De Silvestro addendum from Robin Miller...:

"HVM: Keith Wiggins’ shoestring operation has more moxie than money but still has given rookie Simona De Silvestro a platform to show her considerable skills. Under the calming influence of veteran engineer Mike Cannon, the Swiss Miss has put the oldest and most worn out cars in the paddock in front of a lot of drivers with more experience, better equipment and funding :jump:"
