percival P56 provost

There is a port over by Keith Paine.

At flightsim.com file is 12-09-13 percival_provost_t1.zip by Keith Paine, size is 5,167,531.

It has a good vc and a 2D cockpit, the RHS pilot can be removed by the wingfold command, and it flies

well enough to please me. Several repaints by Peter Watkins are available.

Hope you enjoy it

737 trio, thanks for that, but I cannot get the Provost wingfold command to work in FSX - how do you do it!!!! I know my Proctors wont either, but its possibly because there are too many animations linked to the command - at least thats my theory. I do know however that Dave Moly's Walrus wingfold command works in FSX - strange!!

I have totally reworked most of the paints I uploaded to BritSim in 2011 and also added a few new ones. They are available at FlightSim. One example attached.

Provost wingfold command

Hi Keith, I was working from memory, never a surefire way to work.

Your pdf. file states:-Tailhook removes the RHS pilot from the vc & external views.

The "Wingfold" key removes the pilots from the cockpit in external views & chocks the wheels.

I have Tailhook and Wingfold keys programed to buttons on my Logitech Extreme 3D pro stick.

My tailhook key deletes the pilot OK. I had not tried the wingfold key, but I have now, and it does not

work. I don't ever garage my aircraft after a flight.

Being able to remove the RH pilot is a brilliant move, and thanks for the Provost which I find is fun to

fly.

Eric, Thanks for that confirmation of wingfold not working on my aircraft when used in FSX - I thought it might be just my set up!! I still do not understand though why Dave Moly's Walrus wingfold works! My Proctor wingfold is very complicated as the capping strips & catches, & the wingpins are all animated & work OK in FS9, but are obviously too much for poor old FSX to cope with!
Glad you like the Provost, possibly my best so far as far as I'm concerned, & I hope I got the FDE near reality as I did have a flight report by David Ogilvy as well as an aero report from Cranfield on its spinning characteristics - including inverted spins - brave test pilots there!

Provost Wingfold Command - solved?

Hi Keith

I have sent you a PM which should explain it all.
