Performance of DBWsim sceneries

I know i have ancient computer, but some of their sceneries, like Palau, are quite hard on framerate, especially considering that they are made back in 2005. I am only one with this problem?

Not sure on their texture format, but if it's dxt try running textures through dxt fixer from Peter Nyman

Thanks for the answers, at least im not only one. Resizing and changing texture format was first thing i tried, unluckily without much improvement...

What I've done sometimes is cut and paste to a separate folder bgl files from the scenery folder in question until the FPS improves. It will mean certain scenery items will not be loaded but often enough they are minor and the bulk of the scenery will be shown. For simplicity I paste to the addon scenery title folder so I know where they belong if I want to replace them later. For example in the structure SCENERY A/scenery/texture, cut bgl files from scenery and paste them in SCENERY A folder. I had to do significant bgl cutting with addon KFCM as resizing didn't help at all, still looks good though.

Unluckily there's not much to remove as everything is packed in few .bgl's, also looking at Palau scenery folder i found what it seems to be landclass bgl thrown in same place. Anyway, in not too cloudy weather and in not to complex plane those sceneries are flyable and for a price they cost one cannot be too much demanding :D
