• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Phantom aircraft "not loading properly"

I completely removed an aircraft from an install; I even searched for any file reference to it; and yet both the install and mb claim it's not loading properly.
I shut down the PC and restarted; the same.
I added the aircraft folder back in; the same, even though bdps were created.

I'm at a loss....:dizzy::banghead:
 
I have now redone the whol;e appdata folder and the pesky phantom non existing (on the install) still is an issue!:banghead:
 
You probably have a duplicate xpd file lurking somewhere. I occasionally find that I have an entire duplicate aircraft install lurking inside another aircraft's folder structure that got dropped there by mistake. Typically if I do a windows search for the file described in the warning dialog it roots out the problem for me.
 
So far I have searched with every possible related file to the aircraft or variant. While there is a slightly differently named version of the aircraft; blitz***** i/o bob***; there are 0 bob**** in the install. There are versions on desktop and another install but not this one. I also cancelled the appdata file again but no joy!:banghead::banghead:

i should add I have the same issue even when the whole aircraft is in the install.

Check the aircraft.cfg of the problem aircraft. There may be an extra aircraft defined in it.

I had renamed a bob_*** aircraft to blitz*** aircraft but unaccountably had forgotten to change the cfg file!:p87::banghead:
