Phase 4 - so soon?

Olham54

The Bordeaux-Red Baron
Only just in for a quick report - must go back to the field in a minute.
My god, Winder and Rex Hannover - what have you done?
Is it my adrenalin rush? Everything looked so much better once again, that it feels like Phase 4. Even the landscape - have you done something to it. All seemed so richly decorated with trees and wood; although I haven't changed a slider! Overwhelming!
Just had a "quicky" with just one wingman (Albatros D Va) against two SPAD XIII with Fonck's skin (set on "ace").
The adrenalin rush came immediately, when I saw them perform! I did my best with the old lady, but the SPAD was extremely fast underway! I locked myself on one's tail. But as soon as he realised, he couldn't win the turning, he changed for "dive" - f**k! My bird don't like that. I follow in spirals. until he comes up again. For a sec, I get him in my gunsight! Hit!
But SPAD's don't cry easily, nor do they show, they're impressed. Mr. Speedo went off down again, and when he had gained distance, he climbed away like mad. That's what I would have done with that plane.
Check six - right in time! No. 2 came down like an eagle! From my dive I performed into a looping; saw him zoom ahead, when I was headover (TrackIR would have helped! Soon...) My wingman after him. The SPAD climbs like mad; my wing can't follow. But I have the energy, coming out of the loop, I chase right up to him! Jesus, he grows so fast - Fire!! - throttle full back - Fire!!! I hit him from closest range, right into the cockpit (did he scream?). Now the Alb loses orientation, falls away sidewards, slingers and complains. Good, good, my girl - it's alright!
Follow the second SPAD; mine pulls a trail of dark smoke, drawing a wide turn left. YOU won't make it home today!
Can't catch up quick enough, must witness my wingman being terribly shot up, in a distance. You b****r, I will come and get you!
They are some 1500 feet away. Come on, my lady, let's get there! But my wingman goes down in a thick black trail of smoke.
The SPAD pulls up and turn in a challenging style, like saying "and now to you!" He comes down in a fast elegant turn, that should set him behind me.
But he must pass me first, and he can't know, that I'm a pretty good deflection shooter. Approaching, he collects rounds already from 600 feet, and I give her full rudder left, to follow his curve, pumping it all into his plane! When he zooms past, I can see dark smoke already, and pull with his turn. He is severely hit, and now his manoeuvers have lost their edge.
I can follow long enough with a desperate climb, to finish him off. The engine burns now! What looks like a steep escape dive first, ends in a crash!
My god - Winder, Rex Hannover - this is no game anymore! This is the simulation of early air combat; this is war! I must change my T-shirt; must wipe my hands dry! I-AM-EXCITED!!!

Enough for now - must hurry back to the field, before they give my plane to some rookie, who might spoil it. More later!!...

When I see P4 in a thread headline I break out in a sweat - but thanks cool post Olham!

WINDER, please - relax, man!
What you all have created here, is beyond anything I had expected.
(And I expected a lot, believe me!)
Now this all must only become better known. There are all these unknowing people out there - like I was one before last October - who desire such a great WW1 sim since the old RB3D days!

This is stunning - overwhelmingly good - breathtaking!
(I really must remember to breathe sometimes in dogfights!)

P4, did someone say P4?

ooh I can't wait, when's it gonna be released guys? :jump:

Don't tease him - his nerves are already shot to pieces. (No wonder, after all that test-fighting - Lol!)
