Just uploaded my photoreal repaint for Tim's magnificent A-1H Skyraider here at the SOH Lib and much to my surprise it became instantly available. Way to go SOH !! :applause::salute::applause:

So if you feel for photoreal go grab it right away. File name is 'a1h_412ak.zip', goes without saying you'll need Tim's original 'a-1h.zip'. Btw, i have uploaded to Avsim and Flightsim as well.

Well, I am easily confused, but I do not see it here in the library? I'll wait until FS.com has it later in the day. Thanks Jan, it looks a real treat.

Thats absolutely gorgeous!

Question how did you get those napalm bombs where the rockets should normally be on the H?

Superb ! Thank you very much :salute:

Great job, Jan!

I'm not complaining that Tim's Spad is FSX only, now that I have at least one good resaon to fire up FSX the first time for months again... :d

Groeten,
Markus.

Thanks guys. Testing for a photoreal Korean all blue version too. Maybe get rid of the 412/AK markings to serve as a base for other grey/white Spads.

Btw, i'm using an F4U soundsuite by Skysong. Very enjoyable.

@ Peter: did first trials with A-1J model while A-1H was not available yet.. :)

cheers,
jan

If anyone needs some references:

I took these pics at the Berlin Airshow back in 2006:

That's great, Markus, must've been wunderbar seeing ( and hearing! ) it being put to its paces. I have never even seen one up close. As it is based in England it might visit a dutch airshow too. Btw, it's the same bird i created the photoreal textures from.

Do you happen to know what those triangular black shapes along the wings' leading edges are used for ?.... Small radar device or some other sensors behind them maybe ??.... ( looks like there's a bulge behind the outer ones... )

Also, since i'm asking anyway, anyone know what the purpose is of the round plate in front of the engine ? And the 'flaps' inside the cowling ? Are they movable, extra cooling maybe ??....

Thanks for any enlightingment. :salute:

cheers,
Jan
