PHP2 Val rear gunner

Is there a way to make the rear gunners canopy in the PHP2 Val open and the gunner rise up into firing position?

Never mind. I just remembered that even though the Val has fixed landing gear if you push the "G" key on your keyboard after takeoff the rear gunner will move into firing position.
