I have noticed that whenever I am creating a new flight, and select an airport from a certain region in the world (happens to be the middle east); FS2002 stops responding. Switching to the task manager shows that FS2002 is using 99-97 percent of system resources, and the amount of RAM used is jumping around. I have left it sitting for awhile, to no avail; I finally have to end it with the task manager.
I thought maybe my copy of FS disk 3 was messed up, so I made a new copy. I was also thinking maybe the cache directory was corrupted; I deleted it all, and let FS rebuild it. I also checked my scenery.cfg file; nothing seems out of sort now. I also turned off the scenery for the middle east and Jerusalem. But still, the problem persists.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
