I just reinstaled FSX, and am now installing the addon planes. Well a strange thing is happening, some plane textures do not show up. What I mean is when I what to change an aircraft paint, the hole aircraft is just black, panel and all. It is only effecting some addons not all.Hope someone can help.

Cant tell you for sure until somebody will show up with possible solutions, it seems to me that it is likely related to DX10 compatibility. You might want to start from there?
Well I may have answered my own question. I had not installed Acceleration yet, and I did a search and it seems that (maybe) just installing the service packs would do the trick. Well so far that may be the answer. My problem has gone away, for now. Hope this might help others having this problem.
