Planes gone propless

I am installing some of the older Alpha Sim freeware planes for FS2002...the SBD-5 Dauntless (best freeware Dauntless model in my opinion), the B-25 Mitchells (again, best freeware Mitchells going). The planes show up in FS2004, but without props...either still props or spinning props.

Is there a way to fix this or am I SOL and just going to have to fly around without props?

May be the texture OBIO. Find one that works in fs9 and rename it to the one you want to replace and see what it does.

Many FS002 - including the older AS models - appear without props, geat and other bits. Fairly normal. Often you get a message warning you and asking whether you want to install all or part of the model etc. Other 2002 work fine in FS9.

The majority of the FS2002 planes were animated with a program called Aircraft Animator. This program made changes to the .mdl file for the animations which were not compatible with the FS2004 SDK. So, you won't see a lot of animated objects in FS2004.
