I'm working in some conversions form FS2002/2004 to CFS2.

1) I have make the conversion od Cant Z506 (Ala LIttoria) that work so i wish make a new livery there are stencils for
national marks or is necessary paint them.

2) i have converted the Fokker Mercury G1 it works but on the runway don't want take-off and continue run on the runway. Any ideas about?

3) With the Cant Z501 i have a problem with the engine that not start.

Any suggest are more appreciate.

Hi S,
It would be good to identify which models they are, and who they were made by, so that we can help you more easily.

With converting aircraft from Fs2004 to CFS2 you also have to modify the airfile and sometimes the aircraft.cfg file, to get them to fly in CFS2.

Please also be aware that some modellers do not wish their aircraft to be modified or used in another sim, or you may have to get permission to upload any conversions.

For the conversion for now i not want upload nothing, for me is interesting lear the method about how modify, converter,
create cockpit and so on.

For the MDL files i use Ivan Hsu MDLM v 2.0, for air as normal AirEd

For the first i have problen with engine, the second the conversion is ok only i need make some modifications for my
DP ( position of guns and payload ) and modify the textures.

For the third the engine now start but the plane is not anphibious

The fourth is ok only i wish try change the livery and after ( if i will be able make a proper DP )
For it wll be usefull if will be possible use stencil for national marks ( in the same way of Il-2 ).

A couple of points about this list:-

1) I thought this would be the Fokker G1 you were converting. Unfortunately the maker Kazunori Ito of this model does not wish his aircraft to be converted to CFS2. So we can't be seen to suport this, sorry! (There is an old CFS1 Gokker G1 at Simviation.com if you really need this aircraft.)

2) and 3) The Br20 and the Cant Z501 are here at the SOH, already converted for you...http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=150.

This is a link to the SOH CFS2 Italian aircraft download section so...get downloading! ;)

4) I think Peperez is possibly working on the Z506 conversion at this time. Or if you wish you could use the airfile and modify the aircraft.cfg from the Cant Z511, which has been converted and is in the SOH download section, this would get the Z506 flying in CFS2.


As for changing the livery, good luck with that, maybe post some pictures of your efforts? Always good to see people having a go!! :applause:

These planes in reality for me are models for trying learn somethings about modding in CFS2.
For example in SOH there are tree Fokker G1 one of ITO, another yet converted for CFS2 and the third unfinished,
all tree also the G1 yet converted not work properly, so i try understand the reason of these malfunctions.
Obviously also if i will, in the future, be able to complete one of these conversion, without any permission of the author of the project, never i make an upload of my work. The strange is that for the two G1 FS2004 the conversion is complete and they appear in the list of the planes but in take-off they not works, the plane that is yet converted for CFS2 have similar problem, this for me is really interesting : tree similar planes and model and no one that work!

your works within Manuel Villa are always masterpieces, the idea to keep the "Soccorso" and change the livery is a good idea. Apart that with the Cant Z5906A/C i was able make a complete conversion ( alawys as study ) instaed of i have also try last evening to convert your beautifull Cant 1007 but i recieve faliure message for the objects conversion.

Sicerely about Br.20 i prefer converted the model and not use the BR20 if i remenber correctly make by is4g a good model but a little outdate, for the Cant 501 converted for CFS2 i have try it but seem have some problem, first of all is not anphibious, the reason i don't know at this moment.

Hi S,
I understand what you are trying to do, and that is a great way to try and understand how CFS2 works.

If you have converted these aircraft, then that is only half what is needed. The airfile and aircraft.cfg is usually what is needed to be changed or modified to get the aircraft to fly.

The best way to learn is to change the airfile with an airfile that works. Find aircraft that are similar to the aircraft you want to fly. Take the airfile and aircraft.cfg, change the name and details to the aircraft you want to fly, and swap the files that are with that aircraft.

For example for the Br20, try Bristol Blenheim files, for the Cant 501 try a Ju52 with floats files, they are all available at Simviation.com.

As for the Cant 1007, has that been finished and released yet?

Per il BR.20 puoi provare con le FSD (by FSAviator, che dovrebbero essere molto accurate) del mio G.18, che aveva i stessi motori (FIAT A.80).

I'm working at a Giulli's Z.1007 conversion right now...
 
I checked and I notice

That there's no Giulli's BR20 conversion. My schedule now is:

1. CANT Z.1007 (with FOUR versions with different airfiles and DP's)
2. Caproni bombers
3. Baltimores Mk.2 and Mk.3 (airfiles and DP's ready, need skins)
4. Fiat BR.20...

Scusate se ho tardao a rispondere ,ero un pò preso dal lavoro.

Sto provando a convertire il 1007 ma mi dà errore dopo la conversione tra FS2004 e 2002, fin lì tutto bene poi quando cerco di convertire da FS2002 a CFS2 mi da errore per gli oggetti. ( cosa che non capita per esenpio con il Cant z506 ).

Non sarebbe male avere un bel 1007 e un BR20. In questi giorni ci riprovo.
