• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Hello all,
We're making some changes and looking to recruit. Newshawks will be for Aviation news or information only. Threads on other topics will be moved to the Cantina and off-topic discussion posts should be posted there. These changes will occur when new moderators are in place as there will no longer be admin moderators.
So we require moderators for Newshawks and Canelo's Cantina. The Newshawks moderator will need to ensure that only aviation related topics are posted there and non-related topics moved or locked. The Cantina moderator will have a more difficult job as matters of taste, language and decency will apply, however both moderator jobs will be fulfilling and supporting our great home, the SOH.

Please pm me if you're interested and specify which post you prefer. All candidates will be considered and dicussed by the forum administrators.
