Plum Island help wanted

There was a couple of guys that had made an addons for Plum Island Airport. One added more aircraft, more like what is usually available at Plum Island
The other one added noise and some other features to the scenery. Does anybody know where I can find them? I ran searchs all over the place with no results.

Someone made a traffic file and an AFX with more parks. I don't remember who that was but I have it and can zip it and send if you want.

Hi Bob:

At first I thought you might be referring to my "2B2 Nocturnal Immersion" scenery, for which I had once sent you a file for the intended "new" beacon location next to what you locals apparently call the "Office" building. :iidea:

I'll bet the sounds were Joe Watson's excellent sound set for 2B2 available here:

I'm not yet aware of an add-on which added more static or AI aircraft there, but it would be interesting to see... if someone could post a link to that in this thread.

Just for your info, my "2B2 Nocturnal Immersion" scenery add-on was initially a purely whimsical "quick-and-dirty" project done for a couple of acquaintances, and openly previewed via the Emma Field Forum.

The AFCAD2 file I included to put the lighted RWY there was based on positional info by Bill Womack and "Nils" here at SOH, and it did provide the numerous extra parking spaces that were in an original file by Nils; it was not tested for full AI Traffic functionality.

My 2B2 "feature add-on" is now under re-construction with some enhanced local night flying features, and expanded to include a bit more round-the-clock mischief... which I hope other folks might enjoy as well.

Hope this helps ! :mixedsmi:

The extra file Bob is after was an afcad file by Nils (JT8D-9A) but the download no longer works.

Hi All:

I have just updated my Plum Island - 2B2 "Nocturnal Immersion" Files thread at Emma Field Flying Club ("EFFC") Forum, where I have posted for free download, the "original" release of my "2B2 Nocturnal Immersion" scenery add-on at Plum Island:

http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=73378&start=30&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

BTW: Although the avatars are perhaps less exotic there, I / We do have a zany time in the EFFC Forum (...probably more than some folks might be accustomed to), but I hope that never Deters anyone from trying out these files and having some additional fun at Plum Island ! :icon_lol:

Whoops... did I just say "Deters" ? < yep, another EFFC inside joke > :p:

At the request of Helldiver here at SOH, I've also posted a new version of the placement file for the rotating beacon to align it with the intended real world position.

Here's hoping even more folks will soon discover some extra night flying fun at 2B2 !

Agreed, and with Roberts "Quickie" now outfitted with night lighting, it's the perfect aircraft for "Nocturnal Gallivanting", lol.
