back in the summer i believe,i asked for advice on how to make my scanner stop squeelching all the time....it would get stuck on a channel just just make noise....i thought it was a ham issue..wasnt that..thought it was a cable issue..wasnt..thought it wwas the antena...wasnt...thought it was the scanner itself..tried two differant scanners...and tried all three in my dads house with an identical antena and all three worked perfect........WELLLLL

a week or so ago..i was in a chatroom visiting with friends when the scanner ,my GOOD base station scanner, stuck on the unicom channel for KAUN...i had the tv off for once...and i heard the clicking of my typing in the "noise" on the scanner, and everytime i hit enter on the keyboard..it clunked....so i played...and confermed i was hearing it.....i had a wireless logitec keyboard and mouse set...i ordered a dell USB keyboard and USB mouse..hooked them up...

PROBLEM GONE !!!!!!! :icon_eek:

Now that's interesting.

I can't explain it to you and obviously every one else who tried to help you in the past associated it
with hardware problems in your scanner set-up. Who would have thought a wireless mouse/keyboard
setup would trigger this problem ??

I have some network wireless cards in a few desktop computers that operate on 2.4 GHz and I have
had occasions when I have accessed the Internet when my (cable/wireless) router has been shut off.
The only thing in the house that remains for access are the base units on my cordless phones at 2.4 GHz.
I get a rather slow connection but it is there, nonetheless.

The electromagnetic spectrum is certainly full of surprises and can be frustrating.
