Practice & a Few Other Things

Does anyone know if there are any training missions, beside the ones in box. I struggle being accurate with rockets. I have read a few tuttorials, and I think I am doing what they have said. I have had a little improvement. I am able to hit factories and even sometimes score a train by ripple firring my entire payload. I think I would bennefit from some trainning or practice missions. I have been told to seek help playing in online games, but I have a pretty slow internet connection.

Which brings me to my next point. I do not have the files that most are playing with. I have tried to create a clean install and one that I have moded with aircraft, effects, and alike. I can not get PTO, MAW, OFF, ETO, etc. to install correctly because I can not get the multiple install to work. (I think) I also run into snags when I download this mission or that one because I end up needing to download this plane and that hanger and they need this effects file and so on.

I do not want to sound as if I am complaining. I am not. I am just looking for some help to end my hours of downloading, installing, and configuring with no play at the end :icon_lol:

I was thinking I would uninstall everything I have and try to start all over again. Before I do that I thought I might seek some advise first. That way I do not end up back in the same situation. Right now all I have installed is CFS3, CFS3 updates, AvHistory effects, and AvHistory weapons, a few AvHistory aircraft, and NEK Redux .

I would like to end this novel by saying thank you to everyone who can help and a VERY BIG thank you to all the folks who spend their time creating OFF, MAW, PTO, ETO, and all the aircraft and effects and addons for this awsome game. I hope I did not leave anyone out but if I did Thank You Too!

Quick Combat
1. set up unlimited amunition in the realism settings.
2. Adjust your pilot view position by using the game control keys in the menus.
3. Push your pilots head up so you can see over the cowling more. Now go around and pound groud targets. Reload using the reload key.
4. You will see that they drop below the gunsight a little and never actually get that high in their arc.
5. Note that 500+ pound bombs are the most effective. Just get close and earthquake them down.
6. Don't get caught in the ground blast.

Flying Free Flight will protect you from flak and al. you will find some target of opportunity if you choose your location right, or even shoot at your own base. Not very immersive, but ...

If its bombing practice you want, you might be interested in my bombing target. I made this a couple of years ago for the larger bombers. Its 1000 ft across and has hundreds of smaller boxes inside it. As a box is damaged it turns black. Showing where your bomb impacted. It also works with rockets but the first one will not show any damage. Why, I don't know? I never uploaded it but If anyone is interested I will.

For rocket practise: choose quick combat (tank/truck column) - get in at treetop level or ( more save) with a comfortable 30 degree dive - get in close - fire rocket at about 100 to 50 meters distance (much earlier when doing dive attack) or just right before you collide with your target - pull up, pull up!:d
Ok, this is a very daring style, but this way I managed to get out some single JS-tanks with my Fw-190.
(Not to mention the numerous attempts in which my ac crashed next to the target.:costumes:)
have fun, yours wolfger

MR...............please do. What a brilliant little device. Half my bombs/rockets run astray.....it'd be great to see where and why.....I'd love to try your target thingie! Upload by all means!!! Thanks....GAW
