Well, I found this Mosquito in the Philippines in practically new condition. Seems somebody was going to enter a Mossie into this event but decided to cancel under mysterious circumstances. It is (was) being operated by the Royal Australian Air Force and based at Morotai, with No. 1 Squadron. Couldn't let it sit there without seeing what the temperamental lady can do, so off we go.

Spent a nice night in Finch-Haven (FIN). Off to another long day over the South Pacific. That Aeroplane Heaven Mosquito is a blast. It's not a "true FSX" plane, suffers from PBC (Props Behind Clouds) syndrome, but it has a great VC and sounds, and lasds pretty easily, which is probably a bit less than realistic, if Don McVicar is to be trusted... CPG is next.

Some kodaks of the last two legs. 1) Base leg for landing at Buka. I hope that conflagration in the bushes off the end of the runway doesn't mark the demise of one of our esteemed competitors! 2) The airfield at Kahili (AGKH) on the southern tip of Bougainville. Had to lean over to the right side to get a good view. 3) The massive volcanic peak of Kolombangara. 4) Landing at Munda (AGGM).

Thanks Willy, but I'm not quite done yet... Seems I gooned my nav planning a wee bit, so I have to go back to New Guinea to hit the three airports I skipped. :icon_lol: I will end at Port Moresby.
