HEY! That's YPG! Yuma Proving Grounds!
I lived in Yuma for 30 years, and drove to work through the middle of YPG every day, for at least half of it. The Yuma Aerostat site. A small site in the middle of YPG with a 2 mile no fly zone around it. Hit a wild horse on the way to work one morning on my motorcycle, and lost an eye to it. Couple of smart-alek Hornet drivers lost their wings (and their Top Gun tapes. Truth from their CO's mouth, I swear!) making strafing runs on our site at about 0230 one morning...Lucky they didn't lose a plane or two, not to mention our balloon.
The rest of my time in Yuma was at MCAS Yuma, before the Aerostat.
Anyway, I know that view
