No, you definitely would not want to hit any turbulence. The rules they have for performing a show are strict and if the prevailing weather conditions do not conform to the rules, they either change the performance or cancel the show. They do fly a super tight formation. The leader is in charge, he makes all the decisions, all other eyes stay on the leader. If the leader makes a mistake, everyone suffers the consequences.
 
yeah the old prop job lawn mower had to be moved to the shed. note its a 2 stall garage so my car is in the other stall.

Looks like your car is a bit underpowered. A big Carrier like car like that needs more omphh than a normal car.

A few years back the whole formation went into the ground. Leader must have goofed up.

Nope, that was not the Blue Angels. That was the 1982 USAF Thunderbird team as they were practicing before the beginning of their show season. A mechanical problem with the leaders T-38 resulted in him not pulling out of a dive, the rest of the group followed him into the ground. At this point, the Thunderbirds skipped the 1982 season and started the 1983 season in the F-16
