• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

For the folks back in Texas

P-80A-1-LO, 44-85160, PN-160, c/n 1192 "Pride Of The Lone Star" March Field 29th FS 1946. Flown by 1Lt JR Howard of Longview Texas for Project Comet. PN-160 was later modified to a RF-80A-15-LO.

ETA: I've changed my formatting around a bit. Starting with this one, I've went to 4096 x 4096 on the fuselage textures. The wings, etc remain at 2048 x 2048. This was done to preserve the detail I've been putting into these. At 2048, the fuselage stencils were quite blurry. I like to read them myself.

Nice paint Willy! What plane is that for (base model)?

FSX Native F-80 available here in the Warbirds Library Filename: FSX Native F-80 Shooting Star.zip

Some of us got together last year and took the old FS 2004 AlphaSim F-80, made it FSX native with all the bells and whistles and one of the guys added Tac Pac capability to it as well.

Ok. I'll go check it out! I have been looking around for vintage jets recently, so this look like a good addition :encouragement:
