Problem downloading DEM4m00b_8_fix.zip

Hello.

I am trying to build my ETO install, using Rami's excellent guide.

When I downloaded Rhumbaflappy's LOD 8 mesh on SOH, I noticed there was a fix for a BGL file (DEM4m00b_8_fix.zip), so I downloaded it as well. The problem is I cannot extract the BGL file because this ZIP file seems to be corrupted...

Then, I have 2 questions :
1> Is this fix useful for ETO, EFTO and/or MTO installs ?
2> Is there a way to get this fix anywhere else ?

You are right. My copy of the download won't extract properly either. The BGL is not extracting but the supporting documentation does.

I did not see a "LOD 8" button but clicked on the "DEM 8" button, saw a map, clicked on it and it tried to load 4 tabs on my browser. I closed each of them after a few seconds. Is the site corrupted or is that normal?

Greg,

DEM and LOD mesh is the exact same thing. The LOD is "level of detail." In case you didn't notice, each .bgl file in that set has the prefix "DEM," hence the name.

And yes, that those windows opening is exactly what is supposed to happen. Each one of those is a .bgl file from that map square downloading.

Edit: The primary site may not be linking properly. Try this one: http://www.ludowise.x10host.com/CFS2_DEM/CFS2_DEM_8_Alt.html

Thanks. Is the file on this website the fixed one ? Since I directly download the BGL file, I can't see the date of the file, and both corrupted and fixed ones are the same size...

Roxanne-21,

Yes, it is the fixed one. :wavey:
