    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Problem to run P2... The proggy can't recognized the DVD

I've recieved a copy of P2 files from Joshua Iceman [Thx to him] and bought a DVD of CFS3 on the internet -Ubisoft exclusive collection DVD-.

So today I tried to make it running but it looks like it won't start. Im stuck at 'Please insert CD'... but the DVD is already into the drive :mixedsmi:. CFS3 is working fine alone, but not the offmanager indeed.

DVD is a french version, but apparently I've installed it in english. I didn't really care about the language during installation, but the menu is written in english, so... Anyway, I've turned the regional settings to US; well, I'm running an English version of MS Windows XP SP3.

Any help would be very welcomed... I've bought CFS3 only to play OFF :redf:

there's a trick to get it runninng with a DVD - however i have no idea ... but wait ...


copy the “CFS3.exe” from the CSF3 install into the OFF game folder - delete the old “shell.exe” first, or backup the file with a different name (e.g. Oldshell.exe). Then rename the “CFS3.exe” in the OFF folder to “shell.exe”.

or
1) Navigate to where you installed your DVD version of CFS3 and locate the main CFS3 folder: \Microsoft Games\Combat Flight Simulator 3

2) Copy the main CFS3.exe file from \Microsoft Games\Combat Flight Simulator 3 to your main OFF folder i.e. to: \CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields

3) Delete the OFF file shell.exe in : \CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields.

4) Rename the newly copied in CFS3.exe to Shell.exe and you should be good to go!

BTW P3 takes care of these new DVD versions of CFS3.
