Problem with AI wingmen flying Nieuport 11

First of all I want to say that OFF - P3 is an awesome sim, definitly and together with RB3D the best WW1 sim I've ever played (with the advantage that as opposed to RB3D, OFF uses modern technology).

I decided to fly as pilot in my favourite squadron which is RNAS 1 (don't ask me why) from the begining (March 1916 if I'm not mistaken) flying the Nieuport 11. I started with the lowest rank (Sub-Lieutenant) and my flight position is set by rank.
However I noticed a very annoying problem (I would say a bug) in which when dogfighting with enemy aircraft at low altitudes my wingmen simply keep making the same very odd manouver by climbing sudently and then getting down sudently as well (certainly due to entering in stall) and then climbing sudently and getting down sudently back again until they inevitably end up crashing into the ground and this instead of pursuiting and fighting against the enemy aircraft and they keep doing those odd manouvers even when there's no enemies left which means that everytime I get into an aerial combat (with Nieuport 11) my wingmen will always kill themselfs thus completly ruining gameplay.

At first I thought that it could be something related to the AI wingmen in general in OFF but then I decided to start a pilot career flying the Airco DH2 and this time I didn't noticed my AI wingmen doing those odd manouvers (despite this Airco DH2 being a piece of junk). I also started a carrer with the RNAS 1 but this time I started in a timeline where this squadron was already equiped with the Nieuport 17 (started in November 1916, if I'm not mistaken) and I can absolutelly confirm that in this case the Wingmen pilot fought extremelly well and didn't exibit that odd behaviour that I experienced when they fly in Nieuport 11s.

So I'm guessing that there seems to be a problem related to the AI Wingmen when they fly with the Nieuport 11.

I dont think of it as a bug. It is something, that happens with different planes.
N11, as you stated, Bris Scout and, yepp, the EIII, and sometimes the DII. This happens to enemies also.

I think of it as a problem of CFS3. Engine was designed to model WWII Warbirds. Much more power and steerability(grammar?). So the birds climbed higher before a departure, and were easier to recover.

Regards

Are u patched to 1.2?

WM

Yes, I'm patched to 1.2

I also have all slider settings set to 5.
I haven't noticed what FPS I do usually get, but I'm playing with what seems to me as good FPS (only get one or another occasional stutter - but that's normal a normal thing with CFS3 engine, I guess). I will get an eye on what FPS I'm usually getting. Anyway, I kinda have my doubts that the problem is related to FPS since I have absolutelly NO problems when flying with for example the Nieuport 17.

I noticed that with sliders set to 5, I was getting an FPS from 20 (sometimes even lower as 18 or 19) to around 25-26.

So I decided to lower the sliders in order to see if I could get some improvements on AI wingmen flying Nieuport 11s. I lowered the sliders to the following:
Aircraft detail -> 4
Terrain detail -> 3
Scenery detail -> 3
Effects quality -> 4
Cloud quality -> 4

With this I usually get in combat FPS ranging from around 32 to around 59 which I think is quite good and very acceptable. But even with these settings I didn't get any improvements regarding on how the AI wingmen flies the Nieuport 11. What happens is when an AI wingmen is flying and fighting with Nieuport 11 at higher altitudes everything seems to go rather ok, but once those AI wingmen (flying Nieuport 11) get to lower altitudes they start to exibit those very odd manouver. What's also extremelly odd is that once one wingman disengages (because the targeted enemy aircraft was destroyed, or other reasons) that same wingman keep doing the same odd manouver instead of for example rejoining the flight or in case there are still enemies left, pursuit and engage an another enemy aircraft. It's like those wingmen (flying Nieuport 11) kept trying to reach a certain higher altitude as soon as possible no matter what the costs are by climbing almost vertically, and the cost is that those AI wingmen always crash because of this!

I see the exact same thing when flying against Nieuport 11, actually I should qualify that, I see it when fighting N. 11 down low. At altitude they are quite normal. However their first move after the merge is usually to dive for the deck so you don't seem at altitude for very long.

For the information of the devs, I too, saw this when fighting a N11 in one on two in QC.
It was my first dogfight after patching to 1.2 and it alarmed me .
OMG the AI have been naffed i thought.
Definately a case of aimless stalls -really bad.

However, fights against everything other than Nieuports so far is brilliant.

Yes, that's exactly what happens.
