Problem with Blenheim and other bombers.

I am having real problems getting the Blenheim to take off properly. Firstly it starts turning as it sits on the runway before you even start the engines. Brakes stop it but you don't seem to be able to keep the brakes applied.

Engines start okay but the aircraft always swings violently to starboard and no amount of left rudder and rudder trim will correct it. Using brakes helps but slows down your take off. I have tried varient power on the engines. This again helps but it becomes very tricky when the aircraft rotates. Also the lock tail wheel does not even seem to work.

I have spoken to an ex-Blenheim pilot who told me the Blenheim was not difficult to take off and did not suffer from an bad yaw tendencies (Unlike the Beaufighter). I have to conclude the Blenheim in CoD s badly modelled. The last patch did nothing to improve it.

Do you guys know if I am doing anything wrong?

I have a heck of a time with this plane.
I think it has some problems in CLoD. I think its been noted. some say theres no problem but there is.
I can get it off the ground now that I have duel throttles.

Try this first hit #5 on your pad or what ever you have that set at.

That puts your rudder trim at center.

But it takes more than that.

Let your engines run for a few mins and get to tempter.

And yet it takes more than that. lol

Give the right engine gas to turn you to the left and give your right engine very very little gas to keep you go straight down the run way.

If thats possible.lol

When your back wheel comes off the ground put down you flaps and trim you plane up.

Be sure and have your prop trim set right also as you start down the run way.

When your able give the lift engine all the gas you can like the right engine. pull back on the stick and good luck!

When your in the air the plane is great. If all else false hit auto pilot to get you started down the run way then turn that off and take over the plane from your co-pilot.

lol

I will try to get a video made to show how some times I can take off. The main thing is very very little gas on take off with the left engine.

I am glad I am not alone!!

But having read the hoops you have gone through just to get it airborne I wonder if it's worth it!

That isn't flying, it's demonstrating a complete mastery of multitasking dexteroity:salute:
