Problems with exit menu

Hey folks. Hopefully someone can help me. In FSX, after a flight I hit the Esc key to bring up the exit menu. This used to work, but now I hit it and nothing happens. If I hit it again, the menu pops up shortly and goes back into the game. I can also search around with the mouse and click buttons after the first time I hit Esc. Its like the menu is there and I just cant see it. Any help with this?

Thanks

Hi Folks

Rooster -
From your description of events,
you've got your sliders set too high,
for your PC's capabilities.
i.e.
You're having to wait for FSX to catch-up.

Pressing Esc a second time
will always return you to the game.

Suggest pressing Pause,
before pressing Esc, (once only).

Thanks for the advice BASys. Unfortunately I still have the problem. Tried pausing it and then hitting exit and lowering all the sliders. If you have any other ideas I'd appreciate it. I will try a reinstall probably tomarrow too.

My system does the same since I added NVIDIA 3D glasses. My issue is fairly clearly with the current driver (not sure if the 3D glasses or the card driver). I get around it by switching to windowed mode first.
