Been driving around a lot in Assetto Corsa recently, but I went back to pCars after installing a new video card to see how it runs and to check out the latest updates; here are some uneditted screenshots from the latest build:
And a new addition, the huge Mercedes-Benz AMG 300SEL 6.8 'Rote Sau' (Red Pig) at Imola. The real thing drove to the podium in the 1971 Spa 24 hour race.
Some of the screen shots look so real... too real. Is it a sim or is it real life? That line is getting really blurred with the newest generation of simulations.
Both pCars and AC are still pretty much WIP, so it is hard to compare, especially since both companies release content in different ways. AC only gives major updates, but with new stuff it all seems to work fine. pCars has updates twice a week, and sometimes the new content is unfinished. Cars with basic interiors and physics, tracks with major holes in the surface etc.. The cars above were fun to drive, but I tried a new Pagani Zonda roadster too and it would spin out in every corner, even the really slow ones.
When both are finished, pCars will probably have more content, look better but also be heavier on your computer than AC. Right now AC is the better driving sim for me, it feels more natural to drive.
