Props in 2D for CFS 2

Does anyone know of a way to get the prop from the VC to work in the 2D panel? Seems like a dumb thing for MS to leave out.

I don't think its possible. A 2D panel is a (panel) texture in front of a "clear view", so I assume you can't put anything there.

Seems a shame that they left it in the virtual cockpit but not in the 2d view.
