Well I finally got it to work and have started adding a few extras (more when the downloads are back up and running :applause:) ... I still can't configure my virus scanner (Kaspersky) to let me use BDPZapper though .... I can create an exception but it will still call the program a virus and that's the end of it .... it will not let me near the program .... any clues here please anyone ?? I have even turned it off but when i try and install then it comes up with "this program is no longer working" .....

try...

Turning off User Account Control when you want to use the Zapper.

Type User Account Control into "Search program or files". (It's a Control Panel Item)

Select Change User Account Control Settings.

Change the Slider to be Completely Down for "Never Notify".

Then Click "Ok".

The Computer will prompt you it needs to Restart for the change to take effect.

Once restarted you should be able to Re-Install the Zapper, if necessary, and utilize it.

Once that is done you may want to revert back to a protected status level again by following the same steps as outlined above. Good Luck ~S~

/- My Norton does not tolerate the .exe even being in the folder heirarchy and removes it at every Scan, so the only way I can work with the Zapper is with the UAC turned OFF as stated above. It's a pain in the neck work around, but I suggest turning UAC back ON after every CFS3 Session when you do this sort of thing.

Also- Are you running the .exe from Inside the Main Folder? Follow the steps above, and run the .exe from inside the add-ons Main Folder. You should then see a "Command Prompt" window run if it works correctly, and that would indicate the .bdp files have been Zapped. You can verify that by looking at an Aircraft Folder before you Start CFS3 again. Remember they are generated when CFS3 starts... so there shouldn't be any immediately after running the Zapper successfully. If that is so you can change back your UAC settings to protected, restart your computer, add your new AC or whatever and then restart CFS3 to build the new .bdp's.

Yes...

C:/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Games/CFS3 ETO Expansion <-----<<

Run the Zapper after placing it into the Main ETO Folder, correct.

Meant the add-on's main folder, meaning ETO's main folder there.

yep tried that and all i get is "this program is no longer working" ... I had Kaspersky anti virus off and the user accounts manager off as well ...
