• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

PTO R.S. problem !

My PTO R.S. crashed and is unrecoverable. Had to reinstall completely in Win 7 64 bit. Followed video to the T , but keeps saying " no cfs3.exe found" when i select sim through the BAT file. Any Help ? At a loss. Checked all paths, and check good.Totally loss. Been a very long time since i've done a ground up install.
 
Sixstrings it must be an issue with the paths in either the Rising_Sun_Theater_Selector.bat (in main game folder) or the theatre change bat files (in your app folder).
Rising_Sun_Theater_Selector.bat needs to match your application folder path for example
C:\Users\yournamehere\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\CFS3 PTO Rising Sun________

Next, located in your app folder you have all the theatre change .bat files that need to show the correct path to the CFS3 Game folder (where the .exe is.)
The very last few lines on each of the bat files will be
:SUCCESS
PAUSE
D:
CD "D:\CFS3\CFS3 PTO Rising Sun"
(Note the above is my install location) Make sure the bold marked line matches your game install folder location

My theatre selector does not work, when selecting anything but Pearl, I get the black background pop up with several lines of "access denied", followed by the splash screen of Pearl then, CTD. my pathways are correct in the BAT files and Pearl theatre works just fine.

any ideas?

Will install again today. Thanks for the help. Seems i missed a important step. Been in the hospital for a very long time. Excited to get PTO R.S. back working again. Much appreciated !
 
Maybe that is why it crashed several months ago. Just stopped working after all these years. Running Win 7 64bit now. Was on win 10.Must have run it over a hundred times since i've had it on this pc. A mystery.
 
Found i'm missing a file. "2 philippines ,xml" in the app data folder. Does anyone have it,and could share it ? Regards,scott

Which one?
This file will always be there: 2philippines_uisel.bat
This file won't be: philippines_uisel.xml
because now it's uisel.xml
or the last place you were, or it thinks you were...
 
The instructions given in the post made in the latest ETO- PTO R S sticky is that there should be a total of 7 xml-(+1 stock xml) files . Have the correct bat files, just not enough xml files in the app data folder for it.
