Does PTO become a separate new sim Like MAW or ETO, or does become an addon to CFS3 like BOB did?

Hi Waco

PTO is like MAW and ETO_E, it starts from a CFS3 vanilla installation to add a new theatre of operation to our preferred sim.
Just a little information, IIRC the timing of CFS3 make reference to the ETO so when You choose to fly a Free Flight or a Quick Combat session You will find that the time of the day You choose in the menu (I mean "dawn, morning, noon and so on) do not correspond to what You will have after the "fly" button will be clicked (I hope to have been clear).
Cheers :ernae: and have always good flying

Thank you, Cristiano. I couldn't find much information about PTO online. Spent three months back in the late 1960's at Aviano, while in the USAF. The view of the Alps was awesome from the back door of the barracks where I was living.

Hi Waco

I know what You mean about the mountains behind Aviano AB as I attended my military service in the early 1980's serving in Ariete Armoured Div. stationed in the base located side by side with the AB and all my free time was spent watching the landings and take-offs of the planes present in the base.
One of the most paricular activities I saw was some rescue experiments made with a C-130 equipped with the Fulton clamp, they were made using a big bag as target of the rescueing and from what I saw I should not want to be at the place of someone to be rescue in such a way........yes in that case it would be the best thing to do if You are a pilot shoot down behind enemy lines (especially if You were in Viet-Nam) but I think that it would be an experience that You never forgot.

Cheers :ernae: and have always good flying
