• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Public apology to Helldiver and Ickie

Just to give you folks a little background, I have a story for you. :)

I was a member of this site and Netwings for a long time, a long time ago. Back in the CFS1 days. I stuck with the site through many changes in venue and all that for years. About 3 years ago or so, in the FSX forum, I publicly attacked a member by the name of Helldiver. It was something that had built up over a while and I finally snapped. At the time, I felt I was in the right in saying what I had and refused to apologize. As such, for the past few years, I've been banned.

Since then, I've thought about the incident and realize that I was out of line and shouldn't have said the things I did to both Helldiver and Ickie. I was wrong and I apologize for my actions.

Please let this be the proverbial olive-branch to put that incident behind us and move forward as friends.

Does me good to see this, courtesy of this kind has become rare in the net community.
I feel that flightsimming (and especially SOH which has slowly grown to be my favorite site) is one of the few communities where people still meet with an attitude of respect and openness towards one another.

So I'm glad that you have taken this step and returned to the fold!:applause::applause::applause:
