push back Tug

Hey Guys this sounds crazy but is there a Push back Tug effect that you could add to any plane it would be nice

I may very well be wrong, but I thought there was something like this. Either way, for a decent modeler, it shouldn't be hard. It would be kinda nice to have a taildragger version, too. :friday: :ernae:

Short answer is no.
But several POSKY and certain other models do have it as part of the model file.
Also, there is Oliver Pabst's fantastic AES addon which does the job for the heavy metal at many major airports.

?? Worked for me just now.

hmmmm ...

This includes the code to make a tug (modelled) visible

... link is only working for those who have an active account for this forum ;)

... information in there is for modelers who'd like to include something like a tug into their own model.

... here's the post from over there

The following will cause a part ( Tug ) to appear when
shift p or pushback is toggled .
Animation can be added with
the <animation></animation> tags in place

<part>
<name>aircraft_tug</name>
<visible_in_range>
<parameter>
<code>
(A:pUSHBACK STATE,bool)
</code>
</parameter>
<minvalue>-1</minvalue>
<maxvalue>1</maxvalue>
</visible_in_range>
</part>

hmmmm ...

so could somebody please make this addon

... think you still haven't got, what we'd tried to explain yet ...

Guess what you imagine is not possible within the limits of FS9. Perhaps a scenery maker could explain better.

The sample, that Firebar had referenced to, 'only' shows code, with which a 3D modeler could add a certain part to an aircraft model. This part would then have to be compiled into the MDL file of an aircraft model and would only show (with this certain MDL) when pushback condition is triggered.

Tom! Great to see you posting here again at the SOH! :icon29:
expat and Cees - thankXXX fellas - yeah it seems I'm back - for the moment at least with 'reduced connectivity / functionality' ;)

'Gsundheit' :ernae:

Thanks Gnoopey I understand now thanks also for your time

Tom and the others are right. The visual part of the tug is something that needs to be built into the plane's MDL file when the builder makes it.

It would be nice if we could just hang one onto the plane via the DP file like we can with weapons and other goodies in CFS2 but alas MS didn't include that part when they did FS2002 & FS2004. For now it has to be done when the plane is "in the builder's hanger" so to speak.
