PV2 Harpoon

SOH-CM-2024
I was reading a post about the resurection of a 1945 PV2 Harpoon over at the NewsHawks and was wondering if there was such an aircraft for FS2004? For that matter is there a PV1 available also?

Thanks,

T.

I don't know of any Harpoons for FS9. Hudsons...yes, but not Harpoons. Oh, there is the payware Alphasim model....I think that it's FS9.

There's a paint for one of the restored warbird 'Poons for Milton's Howard.

AlphaSim did one? I'll have to check it out.

Just checked it on the Virtavia freeware page and it's the old one for FS 2002 and CFS 2. Tried it once before and the props didn't show up in FS9 for me.

Thats a Hudson?

OBIO you said there was a Hudson for FS9 ,the only one I could find looks nothing like a Hudson or Ventura ,more like a cross between an A 26 and Neptune. Although it says in the read me it has twin tails it has a single tail. When I put it in it said it was a Ventura ,it's an old model and since it looks like nothing I've ever seen I took it out.
Is that the one you were refering to?

I tried the alphasim version and it didn't work so well for me in FS9. I did find a FS2002 LOCKHEED VENTURA PV1 that works OK. The tires sink in the ground and the props are a little hard to see. I also had to alias the sound to the Douglas_DC3. It didn't come with a panel and I coudn't find one.

The model and textures are by Richard Alexander van Hien. I found it on Simnetwork and it is also available on FSDome.

Think I'll wait

I think I'll wait till some kind soul makes a real Hudson/Ventura for FS9 ,still trying to figure out what kind of plane they said was a Hudson/Ventura I downloaded. It's gone now anyway.

Straney Hudsons nice ,but

I downloaded one of the Paul Straney Hudsons,( the RAF Hudson based in Iceland I think) and although the external model was fine the cockpit was a mess. I think it had maybe two instruments and the VC cockpit was distorted, is there a way to fix this? I erased the plane but was thinking of redownloading it and alising maybe the Earheart Electra panel to it and see if thats any better, but it be better to have a panel more like the real Hudson. Any ideas? I know these planes are for CFS2 and thats probley why the cockpit is a mess.

Hurricane

Let me take a look at my Hudsons and see what I did with the panels...I know I did some tweaking to them.

Here's what I have in the RAF Hudson:

problem fixed

For some reason my RAF Hudsons panel did not load correctly ,so I downloaded the Hudson based in the MED, has a Coastel Command type scheme. It had a full panel like in your pics, so I swapped panel files with the RAF hudson and now both planes have panels like in your pics.
I like Hudsons so much I also put them in CFS2 ,also had to swap panel files on the RAF Hudson.Only thing is I wish I had nav lights, there are cockpit lights but no nav lights there is a small panels that says lights but no switch at least on the CFS2 models ,havent checked the FS9 versions yet.
