Question about EAA AirVenture 2019...

Hey guys,

I have a question for you. I have to go back out to the Mayo Clinic for more venous surgery on July 17th and 18th, 2019. I will be in Rochester, MN during that time. German Fest in Milwaukee is the following weekend, and I also know that the EAA Air Show is from July 22nd to July 28th, 2019. So I'd like to pull off a trifecta.

I would love to go to OshKosh for at least a day or two, but depending on what they do, they could just to another roto-rooter round through my jugular or open up my lower back to place in stents. If it's the latter, I may be too sore to do a lot of walking, but I would still love to go. Do you know if the event would have ground transport, and/or wheelchairs for day rental?

S*it, if I have to I'll have them wheel me through the joint on my hospital gurney. :costumed-smiley-034

I haven't been there in a few years, and would love to go again, since I'll be out there so darn close to the Air Show week!

Rami, I haven't been there in six years, but on my last visit I rented a mobility scooter for $65/day.

From the AirVenture website...https://eaa.org/airventure/plan-you...guest-services/general-disability-information
On-site Rental
Single-seat personal electric conveyance vehicles, specifically designed for those with disabilities, are allowed on the convention site and can also be rented via Vista Mobility Inc (near the main gate).* For more information on rentals, contact Vista Mobility Inc. at (877) 588-4782 ext. 2 or (262) 677-2696. Also allowed are Other Personal Disability Mobility Devices, such as Segways, when required because of the individual’s mobility disability and when operated in a safe manner, consistent with 28 C.F.R. 36.311(b)(1). Some of the grounds may be difficult for electric conveyance vehicles and wheelchairs to navigate, as they are grass- or gravel-covered.

* If special accessible transportation is required, please stop at the bus park area near the Main Admission Gate or call (920) 230-7932.
Vista Mobility may be able to provide larger capacity single-seat personal electric conveyance vehicles if notified far enough in advance.

I don't see any info on use or rental of Jet Packs :playful:
