Question on CW21B Demon(Dutch)

Friends, I'm flying the CW-21B Demon for CFS2 by William Dickens. Despite the bad rap the real plane got historically, I've found that it has become one of the planes I am the most deadly in. My question is this: I fly the plane in QC, I have to bail out or achieve my goal, when the mission ends CFS2 crashes and brings up a screen wanting to email MS details of the problem. Is there a fix for this, have others had this problem? I am right now using a Toughbook running XP SP2.

Thanks

Bones

Im afraid we all get that problem now and again. It could be a glitch in the aircraft files,or as happens with me a dll file problem.
I have 9 installs of CFS2 on my comp and get error problems with them all at some time or another.
Next time you get this message click on it to see what exactly is the problem.I,ll bet it says something like ntdll,or terrain dll.
If so open up a virgin install of CFS2 ,go to the modules folder, and copy those dll files into the crappy one.(You will need to restart your rig before doing this as widows will tell you they cant be replaced as they are in use)
This normally sorts the problem for me for a while.

With this in mind ,I find it best (If you have the disk space) to keep a fresh, unmodified copy of CFS2 renamed as CFS2 original on my hard drive .It good for replacing all the basics when needed.

Good luck:ernae:

It's simple.

The plane suffer from Crash Bug Syndrome, some FS09 instructions used to ressurect the aircraft after an accident used as standards by FSCS. Just send me a private message with your EMail address.

Richard, it's the ntdll file. When I used Jone's QC converter to make some aircraft an enemy, I entered first the Mavis. My bloodlust being what it is, I took Azul's Boomerang against 8 Mavis's. It crashed. I took it against 4, and it was okay. What the problem could be is the ancient Microsoft Curse: Not enough memory in RAM or the video. I have 760+ ram on a Toughbook, not really a gaming computer. It has a 64 meg Intel graphic unit. My gaming computer will be a 733 Mhz WIN-98 machine. It has 128 meg video card, I may go for a 256 AGP if I can find one supports 98. A solution could be that I'm just not running a powerful enough memory setup. I'm going to make a backup of that .ddl file when I set the gaming computer up, the Toughbook install is mostly just there to learn the game.

Thanks for the input, we'll get it sorted out.

RC, thanks for sharing this idea! I also have ctd problems from time to time, maybe this will fix them!

In the same vein, my Internet Exploder 8 started to blow up more and more and wanted me to send messages to M$ too. A couple of days ago I downloaded a "fresh" copy and the problems went away immediately.
