Question on Folder Structure for MSFS

Currently, I use Addon Linker to streamline MSFS loading. I have folders named : Aircraft, Aircraft Mods, Liveries, Sceneries....etc. that I enable or disable based on particular session. Question: I would like to be able to load all the liveries for a particular aircraft that I enable, WITHOUT having to enable each livery folder individually. IOW: Can I place the LIVERY folders for a particular AC in the AC folder, to be loaded when I load the AC or am I required to keep them separate and enable them individually? If I can place the Livery folders under the specific AC folder, where do I place it. Thank you in advance for any tips.

You would have to edit the aircraft.cfg FSX-style to add the livery entries.

Addons Linker has a “dependencies” function that’s super easy to use. Easiest thing to do is add the liveries as dependencies for the original plane.

DennyA, thank you for the tip. I'd rather not have to edit the aircraft.cfg... I'll definitely try the dependencies function. Sounds like a great idea. Thank you...I'll come back and let people know how that works...Having some issues how to enable the dependency function. Still scouring the interwebs...

Update: It will be a little time consuming, but not as much as having to edit individual *.config files. DennyA, thank you. I tried it on a couple of AC and works like a champ. Just had to remember to Rt-Clk on the AC folder and select dependencies. Great idea.

Since you already use linker you have a lot more flexibility. You could create a folder for each aircraft, and within that folder place the aircraft itself and any liveries for it, each as their separate packages. Then in the linker interface you would simply check the top level folder to enable/disable all of them as a group.

That's a another superb idea, SeeRyFly. I'll start work on it... Thank you for the added tip. Grateful for DennyA's suggestion about AOL. Thank you both...
