Question re OFF Phase 3

I am interested in purchasing Phase 3. I do have a question, however.

In order to install Phase 3, do I need to uninstall Phase 2? I have Vista so installing Phase 2 was quite a trick. However, it is running fine now and I am hestitant to rock the boat.

Thanks.

The new Phase 3 makes no difference XP, Vista, Vista 64

It installs right over Phase 2

I'm sorry, but what does "over" mean. Does Phase 2 remain? Is it better to remove Phase 2 and replace it with Phase 3? And can you have both versions going at the same time?

Thanks.

If you have phase2 installed, phase 3 will install right over it - no de-installing necessary.
It is however not so easy to still have a working P2 on your rig, together with a working P3 (Winder said so).
It might work, but I take it you will have to copy and rename your current P2 installation, and some system files along with those subdirectories in the "documents and settings" folder along with those under "My documents" (?)

"over" means you leave your Phase 2 "alone" and just put the DVD in D
everything is done automatically, benifits include any customizing you've done to your controls, will remain.

OR

You can get rid of Phase 2 on your own, and install it completely anew, it's all automatic, the choice is yours :ernae:

Hi wsmwsm

We'd recommend you remove P2 first actually to avoid any issues. But you can try to install over and normally it will work fine. Any odd issues though then you would have to remove P3 and reinstall (see FAQ for instructions on cleaning out P2).
