Quick Combat problem

jinx

charter member past
All of a sudden my Quick Combat menu does not work. When I try to specify enemies, the CFS2 Crashes and closes and stops working.

I removed some wepaons files I had installed recently and Crying Toto's and Martin Wirght's Spitpak_1, thinking they may have been the cause, and I also deleted the recent mdlnames.txt entries I had added for the weapons recently installed, and the problem persists.

Any ideas what could be the matter?

Nick

Too many aircraft in the AIRPLANES folder would be my guess. Delete several from the folder temporarily and see if it fixes the problem.

Captain Kurt,

That cannot be as I had only 58 aircraft in the a/c folder.

I fixed the problem by zipping the whole cfs2 directory, reinstalling the sim from scratch, and carrying over my files from the zip. That was a radical solution, but all works fine now in my new CFS2....

Thanks,

Nick
