quick question about the mp patch

there is this one file the "OverFlandersFieldsPhase2Multiplayer.exe (88kb)"

I believe that from either the 1.9 patch and/or the 1.9 hotfix that it is no longer necessary.

Is this correct? and if not.....who may need it,,and why..

It is my recollection that the MP patch was included in 1.9 or 1.9e.and that you do not need to install it separately.
