Not being able to land on a carrier should not be a big concern.
Many CFS2 pilots have extremely short attention spans, and haven't got the patience to land a plane on an airfield much less a carrier. They just hit X to End Mission, so they can get on to the next one. They would also prefer that the missions start in flight at the site of the first combat, so they don't have to fly to that point or bother warping.
This could lead to a major increase in framerates, since bases could be eliminated altogether and we could also eliminate animated landing gear and flaps to simplify things further. Think of the savings in disk space! We could call this new breakthrough something snappy like.......QUICK COMBAT.
OR we could issue Ridlin tablets with the CFS2 CDs. :friday:
Now how do I go about removing my tongue from my cheek?
