Motormouse
SOH-CM-2024
here you go chaps; the 3rd of my forays' into EZ scenery, if Ian would be so kind as to work some magic with sbuilder again,
uses nearly all same static objects as both Chipping Norton and Windrush
RAF Bibury opened in 1939 as an RLG for South Cerney; so initially it was a training field; then was used a fighter airfield until late 1942; with the residents being detachments from 92 Sqn and more frequently 87 Sqn.
It was a night lighted airfield as 87 Sqn were employed on nightfighter/ night intruder missions with their Hurricanes;
Reverting again to training ,regular flying ceased in 1944 then was closed in 1945, reverting to farmland. Nowadays one of the blister hangars is used as a Classic Car dealer/restorer showroom; with a small helipad outside.
It didn't have a full peri track, that being restricted to 2 sections, one near the main hangar and one near the refuelling pad.
