These airfields have been kicking around a while so i thought i'd finish them off, these airfields go well with my Khormaksar scenery released a few years ago and still in the library. merry x-mas everyone :wavey:

Two important airfields used by the RAF during the 1960's in the middel east, includes traffic file and repaints for john Youngs ACG Hunter ai

You need this Hunter ai pack by John Young installed for my repaints---

acg_hunters_raf_9.zip, available from Flightsim.com

You also need these objects----

"rn_escort_vessels.zip" by Mike Hudson
"classic_libraries_v2.zip" by Wolfgang Gersch, sorry about the large download size
for these but there's a lot of really good objects i like using.

Where to find these airfields---

RAF Masirah---Oman, Masirah, OOMA
RAF Sharjah---United Arab Emirates, Umm Al Quwain, OMUQ

Hi Ian,

Downloading right now. Am looking forward to have a good look at the scenery tomorrow.
Thanks very much.

Cheers,

Hey, guess what, Sharjah is in the wrong location, im out by about 10 miles, the real Sharjah, now built over with urban development and almost completly invisable save the control tower and museum is down the coast some ways,
There may have been method in my madness, the proper location is close to 2 large modern airports, Sharjah international and Dubai international, so i may have chosen the location to keep out the way of modern tubeliners, or maybe i was just having a senior moment :icon_lol:
Im not sure if i want to go to the hassle of moving the airfield to its proper location, so if you guys are happy with it as is, i think i'll sit on it a while. This site may intrest you,

Merry x-mas, ian

Ian,

I'm good with it as is, particularly if it fits in better with the AI and the approaches to the current airports. I don't know the area well enough to be critical of a few miles of desert one way or the other and I appreciate any retro scenery, particularly military.
