I could've sworn the R2800 soundpack in my download library is a recent one from Gary Jones.
Now at AVSIM, another, by Adam Murphy, Jesse Casserly, Skyhigh Audio Simulations.
But the readme is all Nigel Richards!
What gives?

WZ; someone recently asked me for the 'loan' of my 'fastcat PW R-2800' pack recently, so it could be mine.
However, I now have four definitive WIP packs for that great workforce of an engine, at various stages of completion which will overshadow any of my previous releases;

1) F-7 Tigercat PW R-2800

2) Canadair cl-215 PW R-2800

3) Multi PW 2800 (Douglas dc-6 etc)

4) Single engined PW R-2800 (F-4U Corsair etc)

I can't at this stage give any release dates with the present spread of projects now on the go; the decisive factor usually being the availability of material covering all stages of flight from startup to shutdown.

Very nice 2800's for the museum Pete.

I don't know if they'll do anything for your foot garments LOL :icon_lol: , but with the 'soft spot' which I assure you is entirely mutual Pete, I think I can fairly guarantee raising a few hairs on the back of your neck!

I'm looking forward to hear your upcoming R-2800 sound on the CL-215's, DC-6's and Martin 202/404 in my FS.

Anchorage and Fairbanks airports are amongst the few places that one can here these engines on a daily basis. Our office in ANC used to be right across the ramp from Evert's and one could always count on seeing a C-46 or DC6 starting, shutting down or doing a runup. Not to unusual to hear a six roar over the house headed North.

I do miss the PB4Y that used to thunder over during fire season, even if not R2800 powered!

You're also very, very talented indeed; giving us lucky people the superb flight handling of all aircraft associated with your name.
