Could someone let me know what value to change to raise my view point, im soldering on with the Alpha freeware F4, which for me still looks good with the right re-paints, but i do feel like im sitting in a bath-tub, raising my head up a couple of inches wouldn't hurt.

cheers ian

You will need to look for the [Views] section of your aircraft.cfg file.

This from the default Cessna C172 shows you the parameters to alter.

[Views]
eyepoint= -3.95, -0.85, 1.9 //(feet) longitudinal, lateral, vertical distance from reference datum

If you look at any of the default aircrafts' aircraft.cfg file, you will see that most parameters have
text explaining what they do.

Another tip, if you assign a key to Aircraft (Reload) in the FSX controls\buttons\keys screen,
you can alter the parameter and check the result by reloading the aircraft while FSX is running.

This is what I do. There are lots of planes which have eyepoint settings I adjust...

Got my eyepoint controls mapped to CTRL+[arrow key] and CTRL+SHIFT+[arrow key]. Works reasonably well, although a good default starting value is more important.
