In another Airforce Forum that I subscribe to members are given a rank depending on the number of posts they have made.

Air Chief Marshall - 5000 posts
Air Marshall - 2000 posts
Air Vice Marshall - 1500 posts
Air Commodore - 1000 posts
Group Captain - 750 posts
Wing Commander - 500 posts
Squadron Leader - 350 posts
Flight Lieutenant - 250 posts
Flying Officer - 175 posts
Pilot Officer - 100 posts
Warrant Officer - 50 posts
Flight Sergeant - 25 posts
Sergeant - 5 posts
Leading Aircraftman - 2 posts
Aircraftman - 0 posts/ new member

It adds an extra interest to the forum and another reason for people to shout a round of drinks when they are promoted.

These ranks are based on the RAF ranks so it might be necessary to have people select their favoured nationality.

What are peoples thoughts?
 
It could encourage frivolous posts. You can always check how many by the member details on the side. Anyway we are not a rank conscious group.:d

I got the powers that be at SOH mad at me and I was four short posts of being an Air Chief Marshal and they took them all way from me and also the medals that I had gallantly won.
I was reduced down to the lowliest of the low. However, thus far I'm almost up to a Squadron Leader.
No medals though.
